A Rift Valley adventure starting from Kisumu, combining Lake Nakuru's flamingos and rhinos with the dramatic gorges and cycling/walking trails of Hell's Gate National Park.
Hell's Gate is one of the few Kenyan parks where you can cycle and walk among zebra, giraffe and gazelle, with towering red cliffs and steam vents from the geothermal field as backdrop.
A great short escape for travellers based in western Kenya.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Kisumu → Lake Nakuru NP
Morning pick-up in Kisumu. Drive east via Kericho and the tea estates to Lake Nakuru. Afternoon game drive — flamingos, white rhino, Rothschild's giraffe and buffalo. Dinner & overnight near Nakuru.

Transfer south to Naivasha. Hire bicycles and ride through Hell's Gate among zebra, giraffe and gazelle, then walk through the spectacular Ol Njorowa Gorge with your local ranger. Overnight in Naivasha.

Optional early walk at Crescent Island, then breakfast and return drive to Kisumu via the Rift Valley.
